Advantages: Interesting, Not dull, Often on Promotion

Disadvantages: Quite Hard, not as flavoursome as Twister

A very popular Ice Lolly "Model", Fabs were launched on May 1967 and are now one of the most recogniseable and popular lollies in the UK. The regular lolly consists of a strawberry backbone, with a white creamy "iceing like" middle section, and a milk chocolate top layer that has been dipped in "Hundreds and Thousands". They are available both as a single item and as a multipack and I have tried an orange version of the lolly (Identical, but where there is usually strawberry there was orange). I am unsure if this Orange variety was a limited edition thing, or if you can also buy an orange flavoured lolly as standard, but I don't see them too often.

The description of Fab on the packaging is "Real strawberry and vanilla flavour ice lolly with chocolate flavour coating (5%) and sugar strands (5%). That's quite a good description of them to be honest. I buy the multipack boxes which contain 8 lollies and cost £1.99, although they are often on promotion and on Tesco at the moment, the box is only 99p. I love fabs personally, they are really simple although they are quite a "hard lolly", rather than a softer more creamy lolly like a twister is. They represent good value for money and are also quite interesting to eat, with eat different layer providing its own entertainment. I like to suck the sugar strands off before scraping the chocolate off with my front teeth. I like the vanilla off, and then suck on the strawberry base layer until it is gone. As with all lollies, these are particularly refreshing in summer.
