Advantages: Nice looking retro lolly

Disadvantages: Artificial Flavour

Fab Lollies come in 4 or 8 packs, recently i've bought an 8 pack of lollies from Tesco for £1.49. The lollies are made by Nestle and are available at any good retailer, they are readily available at all supermarkets and there are also supermarket own brands of the same style.

Launched in 1967, the lolly was originally aimed at young girls and the name Fab came from Lady Penelope's number plate in the childrens adventure series Thunderbirds.

Fab Lollies were originally only Strawberry but you can now also get an Orange flavour or Jelly and Ice Cream, I am reviewing the Strawberry Ice Lolly, which contains 79 calories.

The Ice Lolly purports to be Strawberry and Ice Cream and is a long white cream lolly with a strawberry ice centre and hundreds and thousands at the top, it contains the following ingredients:
Water, Sugar, Reconstituted Skimmed Milk, Strawberry Puree , Chocolate Flavoured Coating , Sugar Strands , Colours , Emulsifier , Glazing Agent , Thickener, Vegetable Oil, Glucose Syrup, Whey Powder, Flavourings, Beetroot Juice Concentrate, Citric Acid, Stabilisers , Emulsifier , Dextrose.
Lollies contain gluten ,wheat, lactose, soya proteins and milk. These are suitable for vegetarians but may contain nuts.

I like these lollies and we have them in our house when we can although they don't have the flavour of a mini milk, or look as good as some ice creams, they are good for kids and they do have a kind of retro appeal to them, they have an artificial flavour and the ice cream and fruit combinations aren't as good as something like a strawberry mivvie but nonetheless i'll continue buying them in the future.

Summary: Fun Lolly
