I stayed over my friends recently after a boozy night out on the town. In the morning her daughter came down for breakfast and for some reason poured me and her a bowl of Golden Nuggets. Naturally I felt obliged to eat them and until that point I had forgotten how horrible they were! Compared to most big name cereals out there, Golden Nuggets are generally cheap to buy. Costing about 1.83 per 375g box. Packaged in a very attractive box that is bright blue in colour and features the cereal mascots. This is a miner and his pet donkey who often appear in the adverts for the product. They're in the middle of the box standing over the words 'Golden Nuggets' which ... Read the complete review

Loving my cereals the way I do when I saw a trial pack of these on offer for 35p a box (for a one serving portion of 30g in Sainsbury's) I had to try them out. The box is a nice bright blue with a donkey on it and some sort of pirate cartoon character on there and it actually appealed to the kid in me and I couldn't wait to try the as promised honey flavoured brekkie (according to the box) lol. So that's the box for you really! Cardboard, squarish as usual and other information on the front of the box tells me they are Nestle Golden Nuggets and that they taste yee haa!! and that they are wholegrain guaranteed and contain 113 calories per 30g serving (without ... This review is for Nestle's Golden nuggets. I used to eat these when I was a younger, so when I saw them in sainsburys the other day I decided to buy them. The box is blue all over, and the picture on the front is of a cartoon man with his horse holding uo a golden nugget, with the quote underneath saying 'They taste yeee haa!!' Although I wanted to try these again I was concerned about how healthy they were so I had a good look at the box. The top of the box has a green strip and in it it says that this product has wholegrain guaranteed. There is also some information on one side of the box which has a GDA guideline ... Now here is a cereal worth talking about! "Golden Nuggets" is a breakfast ceral that consists of spherical objects about 1 centimetre or so across which are covered in honey. As a result, they are very yellow in shape and have a very sweet and satisfying taste. "Golden Nuggets" were originally, "Corn Pops". Research drew a blank, but at an educated guess I'd say that the name, "Corn Pops" wasn't selling many boxes, so they rebranded them to, "Golden Nuggets". They even added a miner type guy for the front of the box, who "mines" the nuggets - to depict that they are somehow ... Read the complete review

These were on offer a little while a go and it was cheaper to pick up a box of them than my usual 'pretend' Cheerios from Asda. I can't remember the exact price but it was very good and I got a 375g box for my cash. The cereal is made up of mainly wheat and they are small yellow balls that are covered in a honey glaze. When you add milk to them they tend to go soggy very quickly but for reasons you will read about further on in this review, I was happy about this. The balls didn't break into pieces and remained in shape but they were extremely soft in texture which wasn't a problem for someone who likes soggy things. This cereal is only ...
