Appearance & Taste - - - - - - - - - - - - - Each Honey Shreddie is a small square of grain whose crosshatched appearance makes it look like it has been woven - hence the advertising slogan "knitted by nanas". Although if nanas had knitted them, I probably wouldn't want to eat them after all that man-handling (or should I say 'gran-handling?). The flavour is rather sweet, and you certainly won't have to add any extra sugar to them. The taste is d...more

"Delicious whole grain Shreddies with a touch of honey" It was actually never my intention to buy Nestle's Honey Shreddies - they got picked up and put into the basket in the place of the similarly packaged Honey Nut Shredded Wheat - an easy mistake to make. That said, i'm glad that the grain based morsels did find their way to the checkout, as they are quite tasty and incredibly moreish. I love cereal but lately I have been so stuck in a rut! I love fruit 'n' fibre and like many of us I go into a supermarket and grab a box of the usual out of sheer habit! However I got bored and I got restless and my taste-buds were crying out for summat different! I hadn't see these particular shreddies before to be honest and I was never a fan of the usual shreddies that most of us are so familiar with. I don't like plain, simple kind of foods as a rule so I wasn't tempted to buy a huge box of these. What I did purchase however was a single serving of 45g in Sainsbury's priced at 35p for the box as sample to see what I thought of them! The ...  Read the complete review
