Advantages: Its filling if you can manage to eat it

Disadvantages: Sickly caramel, too big a bar, full of fat

A friend at work recently gave me a KitKat Chunky Caramel to try. I like kitkats and I like caramel so I was quite looking forward to trying this one out.

The bar costs around 40p-50p and is available quite widely from supermarkets and small local shops.

As with all KitKat chunky bars they are quite big bars and I find that I can never eat a whole one in one go. However I know that there are lots of people who can eat a whole one without any problem!

The bar has quite a good chunky chocolate coating which is always a good thing in my book. There is also quite a thick layer of caramel inside, the caramel has quite a burnt sugar kind of taste. It's a thick solid kind of caramel which surprised me as I expected it to be softer and a bit runnier. Then of course there is the biscuit that you would expect to find inside a kitkat.

Now I am not the biggest of eaters and I found that I couldn't eat this bar in one go. In fact as I started to eat it I found the caramel a bit too sickly and had to stop after only a small amount. I did try again the next day but to be honest I didn't really enjoy it and could only eat a few bites at one time.

I think they should stop messing with kitkats and stick to the winning formula of an ordinary kitkat for me the caramel just didn't work.

For those who are on a diet then you probably should not be eating these! They have 272 calories in one bar (if you can eat it in one go) and they have 16g of fat which is really a lot considering the bar is 50g in total.

I wouldn't buy this one again as I really did not enjoy it, I am going to stick to my healthier, smaller and cheaper ordinary kit kats!

Summary: A rather sickly tasting chunky kit kat with caramel

Yeah I found the ordinary chunky ones very sickly on there own so I can just imagine these. You cannot beat the small finger ones. Well great read!
