I love a Kit Kat, they go brilliantly with a cup of tea in the afternoon or any time of the day for that matter. The creamy chocolate and satisfying crunch of the biscuity bits make for a perfect treat during break times.

The only problem with kit kats is that I think they're too small, a few bites and they're gone. I don't hang around with my chocolate bars and once I start it's all over in seconds. I was thrilled to discover then that Kit Kats were now available in chunky versions, original, peanut and now caramel. I have tried all of them and have to say the caramel one is my favourite. I don't like nuts so naturally the peanut one didn't go down too well.

The caramel version which has only recently been on sale is lush. The bar itself is like a giant version of a single Kit Kat finger only coated with thicker chocolate. The caramel one is interesting in that I expected the bar to have a gooey layer of caramel inside but instead the extra addition is a thick layer of soft but not runny caramel/toffee flavoured nougat.

The bar is sweet but not overbearingly so. It's more satisfying that a standard 4-finger Kit Kat and really fills me up. It's brilliant as a lunchtime treat and is also good fun to dunk into a cup of steaming hot tea, licking the slightly melted chocolate off is almost better than sex!
