Advantages: taste, its like nothing else

Disadvantages: availability, not healthy

For some, peanut butter and chocolate is not the best of matches, but for others, like me, its one that's made in nestle heaven. Long live peanut butter Kit Kat Chunkies!

Ever since nestle released the new Kit Kat Chunky peanut butter version last year I never got round to buying one, even though I always wanted to. For a start, they were difficult to find, and since most of my snacks were from vending machines (which are updated every 20 years or something) they didn't have them. That was, until I was given one by a friend who'd imported it or something. It was a joyous moment.

The bar itself is essentially a kit kat chunky. It has the layers of wafer coated in nestle chocolate, all the stuff you'd expect. However, this new taste sensation is nothing out of the ordinary, its fantastic! I go (pea)nuts for this bar!

Layers of peanut butter run through the centre of the bar, the most sensational combination I could ever imagine, it's far better than its closest equivalent- the snickers (or marathon to 40+) bar. Just the right amount of peanut butter running through with not too little and not too much leaves you craving more. Since my first encounter with the bar I've had about 7 more.

A Brand Manager for KitKat Chunky has said, "KitKat Chunky was the most successful confectionery launch of the 1990s and we feel that this new Peanut Butter taste sensation will be another winner!" In my eyes, it has been a winner. For others I know, it will be hard to contemplate peanut butter and chocolate together. Get over this concept for a second and just try the bar, if you dislike it, that's fine (you won't). You'd be nuts not to.

Summary: a great addition to the kit kat range

Peanut butter and chocolate - not a combi I have to struggle with. Do you remember the 'Star Bar'? That was a peanut butter centre with toffee and choc round the outside. Yum
