Advantages: chocolate heaven

Disadvantages: Don't buy if you don't like peanut butter

I can take or leave anything peanut flavoured, but being a fan of Kit Kats (and chocolate generally) I decided to try one of these whilst at my local shop yesterday.

Now these have been out for a while but I tend to stick to what I like chocolate wise, so don't often buy anything too different (Ooh I'm so boring I know!).
But thinking a change is as good as a rest as my lovely Gran would often say, I thought Kit Kat Chunky it is.

The price and packaging~
The bar comes in a mustard yellow coloured, foil wrapper which is all sealed to keep the freshness in. There is the familiar red and white 'nestle kitkat' logo on the front with 'chunky peanut butter' in white and blue lettering next to it.
On the back of the wrapper is the nutritional information and the contact details (in case your kitkat is defunct and you want to complain...no one wants a defunct kitkat!)

I paid 59p for this from my local co op store. They are renowned for being expensive but I have seen these bars priced in other shops at the same price.
A 50g bar contains 269 calories..but is it worth it?

So to the taste~
On opening the wrapper you are faced with a mighty looking chocolate bar, which lives up to it's title of indeed being chunky. There is a nice chocolate smell and just a slight hint of peanut butter. On biting into it you are met with an outer coating of thick chocolate which encases wafer and sweet peanut butter in the centre.
The peanut butter is not runny and there is not masses of it - just enough to give it that nice nutty taste.

My opinion~
I liked this. The peanut butter had that nice salty/sweet taste and it complimented the wafer and milk chocolate nicely.
I think I will be buying this again and maybe trying the new kitkat caramel..now there's a thought.
Mmm..just nipping to the shop..!!

Summary: buy it, try it, you will like it!
