General Info ---------------- Polo mints are a great way of keeping your mouth nice and fresh without the pain of chewing gum or constantly cleaning your teeth. They are extremely minty and just one every hour or so will keep your teeth feeling fresh and tasty all day long. This new sugarfree version has even more advantages. The previous polo's were massively high in sugar, which is actually proven to stop saliva production, meaning that you are even more dry mouthed when you started. The other great advantage is that they are a lot better for you, meaning that you can keep your mouth fresh, without feeling the teeniest bit guilty about ... Read the complete review

I'm a big fan of keeping my teeth healthy and have purchased everything from floss to mouthwash over the years. I like to carry a pack of mints with me to keep my teeth and breath fresh but have always felt that it was a bit pointless sucking on a lump of sugar to achieve this. Studies have proven that sucking mints after meals increases your saliva production (disgusting, I know!) and breaks down bacteria quicker on your teeth keeping them nice and healthy. So, when I saw these sugar free mints I had to try them and I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed. The packaging is quite distinctive as it is silver whereas the other types of Polo ... Polo's are known to most people as 'The mint with a hole'. Since the original Polo's have done so well for themselves, the gang from Nestle have decided to bring out this sugar free version which may appeal to the more weight contious people in the world. I am one of them so whilst visiting my local Spar today I chose these over the originals. They are hard, circular in shape and have their name raised like Braille on the top of them. They cost around 30p for a packet and you can expect to get around 20 mints in a single pack. These mints are available everywhere and come in multi-packs as well as single packs too. When you open the paper that the ... Read the complete review

Hello and welcome to my review of Nestles Sugar Free Polo Mints. I came across these mint a few years ago, I had never been a massive fan of mints but I needed something to help me stop smoking and thought that Sugar free mints would be better than normal Polo's . I mean after all they have "The British Health Dental Foundation Aproval" on the package! I then found there is something special about Polo mints, there not as strong flavoured as Trebors extra strong mints which for me are too power full. I am aware there is a version of Polo mints that are EXTRA STRONG. I will leave those for now as I concentrate on the Sugar Free ... Read the complete review

I found lots of packets of these Sugar Free Polo's in Wilkinsons recently priced at just 8p each. Now, I'm a big fan of Polo Mints and so is everyone else in my family so for that price I grabbed several packets. These look exactly the same as the normal mints, white circular flat sweets with a hole in the middle of each one and the word POLO in raised letters around the face of each mint. Now, these are rather nice still (and there are far fewer calories than in the full sugar version) but they don't taste like Polo's. I cannot quite put my finger on the difference as it's very subtle, they're still deliciously minty but taste rather more ... Read the complete review
