White Crunch Bar from Nestle

Feeling Fed up and totally huge with this never ending pregnancy I made sure my boyfriend cheered me up by bringing me home a whole bag full of goodies from the local store on his way home from work. Him wanting to make me feel as good as possible must have got the best selection of chocolate bars, mints and crisps I ever did see! Included amongst this overflowing bag was a treasure to behold and one I have not had for a very long while – Nestle White Crunch bar.

I used to eat these bars two at a time when I was younger and literally could not get enough of them. There is nothing quite like them out on the market and I am afraid Nestle really do have the upper hand when it comes to selling this particular chocolate bar. They usually cost around 45 pence, which is nowadays standard price for a single chocolate bar.

The bar is not overly big in size and seems to be standard chocolate bar length and is about half an inch in thickness. The whole bar weights in at 31grams. The wrapping of the bar is something that always does stand out to me and the main colour of the cellophane wrapping is a cream colour with the word Crunch written in red bubble writing along with the red nestle logo.

The bar itself is pretty simple and the ingredients to it are pretty limited and mainly include, sugar, milk powder, coco butter, crisped rice and some flavourings. However the is no mention of the calories or fat contained in this bar or even if it is suitable for people with allergies. It is sometime a little worrying when nutritional information is not available on the packet and I often think that the calories must be way too high and the fat content astronomical! Anyhow I would say if you have any allergies i.e. nut then to steer clear as they have not mentioned either way s best to be on the safe side.

On opening the wrapping and getting out the Crunch chocolate bar I can instantly smell the wonderfully creaminess aroma emancipating from the bar. The smell is really strong and one that I adore. From looking at the bar you can see the rice crispies that are held within the chocolate of the bar peeking through at you and I cant wait to tuck right in. The bar itself is cream in colour and has the word crunch etched into the top layer of chocolate.

You can pretty much expect to eat the bar within a few mouthfuls and sometimes to make it last longer I will suck the bar and this will end up leaving the rice crispies sticking out more and sometimes hurting my tongue a little but the enjoyment certainly does last longer! Five mouthfuls should see you finishing the bar with utmost enjoyment but you have to be quick as it seems to have a very quick melting capacity and if you have taken it from the wrapping your sure to get into a right mess!
The taste of this chocolate bar is surely like nothing I have had before. The chocolate is very rich and creamy and can often be slightly gacky in the mouth after eating. However the crispness that is gained from the rice crispies makes the bar into a lot more than just another old chocolate bar. Eating the whole thing can give you somewhat of a sugar rush and the bar itself is pretty sweet to taste, just like most white chocolate bars in my view.

The size of the bar just isn’t enough and I can now see why as a young child I would polish off more than one bar at a time! Overall though this bar is a wonderfully moreish treat for most people to enjoy. I do love these from time to time but I would think if I ate them on a regular basis I would soon become to get sick of them. However the bar is somewhat unique, as I have not seen another bar quite like it. Nestle have also got a milk chocolate crunch bar but to be honest I find this not as tempting as the white chocolate one.
