Advantages: Taste, Price compared to rivals

Yorkie is made by the popular Confectioner Nestle and comes as you can see in a blue wrapper. You can also find Yorkie's in a purple wrapper in the shape of a chocolate and Raisin and Biscuit bar. You might find it a little suprising but Yorkie has been around for 31 years. It was launched to be a rival to the dominance of Cadburys at the time.

The main Yorkie bars are 68g which is quite a bit bigger than most of the normal sizes of Chocolate Bars. For instance bars like Aero and Mars are around 50g. Since the launch in 1976 Yorkie has been marketed for men and in 2001 they launched an ad campaign of It's Not for the girls.

Yorkie has become one of the most advertised chocolate bars around today and is regularly seen advertised at football grounds up and down the country and is a sponsor of the FA Premier League and Sky Sports' Soccer AM show.

The standard Yorkie Bar comes with five blocks of chocolate. Once the wrapper has been opened and you have broken off a piece of the chunky chocolate and put it in your mouth you taste the creamyness of the Milk Chocolate and it has a slight melt in the mouth texture which is similar to Nestle sibling Aero.

You can buy this bar for around 50p which is what most bars are these days. This is good value compared to other bars as it has about 15-20g more in it whilst holding around the same amount of calories. 366 Calories to be exact. This means it isnt good to have too many of these unless you want to have the physique of Luciano Pavarotti.

Now they say it's not for the girls but as I think that it unfair on the females I am willing to give them a piece of this bar if they would like one. It really is a bit mean to not allow females to eat one of these bars because you are denying them a very tasty treat indeed.

Also available in the range are Yorkie Boulders which are small snack size versions of the Milk Chocolate Yorkie with a difference, they have a biscuit centre. There are also small Yorkie Ice creams available from the freezer compartment of your local supermarkets.

Summing up this on review, These Yorkie bars are really nice and tasty but remember they have 366 calories and the average person should have around 2000 calories a day so if have too many of these you know what will happen. But they are scrumptious.

Summary: Try it if you havent already.
