Advantages: Substantial bar
Disadvantages: Not as nice as rivals
I do like a nice chunky length to get my teeth into every now and again and fortunately I can eat without putting loads of weight on thanks to my job being active and a few visits to the gym which more than compensates for my chocolate weakness.
Yorkie used to be advertised as the chocolate bar for truck drivers and lately it was advertised as not being for women and to be honest the regular version is one I can take or leave as it is not as nice as its main rivals, Cadbury Diary Milk or Galaxy.
It cetainly takes a bit of effort to bite into as a single bar is either six or seven large rectangles of solid chocolate however I find it has less of a milky taste than other bars and the texture is a lot more crumbly. Overall it has more of a manufactured feel to it in that the smell is a bit clinical almost and the actual taste is slightly more bitter but not in the way some dark chocaltes can be.
They do produce a couple of other varieties and the one I do like is their raisen and biscuit variety, this has a much better texture to it and the raisens give it a fruity sweet flavour while the biscuit adds a bit of crunch to it.
A bar will set you back about forty five pence in most shops.
By the way I have asked Dooyooo to move this as the product shows up under archive TV and it should be in food something I only noticed after publishing.
