Advantages: Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, low in fat, not bland or dry and oh-so-tasty!

Disadvantages: Not suitable for wheat or gluten allergy sufferers and they need to be warmed to be softened.

These are currently on BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) in Sainsbury's so they cost £1.13 for two packs of five bagels and all the varieties are included in the offer.

These bagels are suitable for vegetarians and vegans but the allergy advice warns that they contain wheat, gluten and may contain sesame seeds and soya.

If you eat them straight from packet they're difficult to bite into and quite a task to chew.

So it's better if you warm them up. I heat mine in microwave for 10-20 seconds but the packaging recommends toasting them. Obviously they don't fit straight in your toaster and I found them a bit difficult to cut in half; I always cut them wonky but that's probably just me.

When they've been warmed they're much softer but still a little chewy. They're not dry at all so I eat mine without any topping, even without butter and, because they're the cinnamon and raisin flavour, they don't taste bland.

They don't contain lots of raisins but there's enough that you get at least one in every bite though. The cinnamon balance is just right: not too strong or weak and doesn't leave any unpleasant aftertaste.

Before and after warming they have this wonderful comforting smell: all bread-y & cinnamon-y!

They do fill you up so they make a good breakfast, lunch or snack, with or without any extra toppings. As these bagels are quite sweet they'd go better with sweet toppings like jam, chocolate spread, honey or fruit.

Ingredients:
