NEW YORK BAKERY CO
Cinnamon and Raison Bagels.
Low in Fat and a Source of Fibre.
The Package**********
Just a simple plastic bag, with the best before tag, closing the opening, easy to rip open, clear plastic so that you can see the bagels inside, with New York Bakery Co written on the front , contains five bagels, loads of different varieties to choose from, but i having a bit of a sweet tooth have opted for the Cinnamon and Raison Bagels currently on sale from Tescos for £1.22 for a packet of five bagels.
The first thing i noticed when ripping them open was the aroma, reminded me of hot cross buns, a lovely sent of cinnamon sweeps up in front of your taste buds, and i thought ermm thats smells good.
I have popped one in my toaster, having of course firstly cut it in half down the middle, which with a sharp knife wasnt rocket scientist, by no means. And toasted for just enough to brown the middle off, I just had butter on mine, but you could add jam, or honey too, but i just wanted to get the full taste of the cinnamon and the raisons.
The Taste, Yummy, i had proper butter on mine, naughty but nice, but i guess you could always just use a buttery spread, they are really nice crunchy on the outside where i toasted them and soft and yummy inside, yes what a lovely tasting bagel, and you can taste the added fruity flavour of the raisons, i have just eaten one and i think that they would make a nice change for me at breakfast time, but i would not eat more than one, as i have recently been on a diet and my belly has shrunk quite a bit, and i found just the one to be ample enough for me. I think that they would also be good to have as a snack, in the evenings or anytime of the day, having a sweet tooth i did oppt for this flavour but will be giving the savoury ones a try too, all in all a good bagel with loads of smell and taste approximately 200 kcls per bagel so not too bad, (better without the butter) if you want to lose weight.
Suggestions **********
Enjoy one of these bagels with a cuppa in the morning.
Toast your bagel and smother with chocolate and strawberries for a tasty treat when you have company.
Lightly toast and spread with fraiche and top with blueberries as an alternative starter or desert.
Cover with cream cheese.
Thanks for reading and rating my reviews xx keep up the good work. xx
Summary: Will definetely be buying these again.
