Advantages: Taste lovely and are a bit sticky; Not too many raisins
Disadvantages: None
I'm not always mad keen on bagels because I think they're too stodgy and I can never find a filling i like that goes with the texture of them. No-one else eats them in the house so I always keep a pack of the Cinnamon And Raisin ones in the freezer because they don't take too long to thaw out and keep for ages in the freezer so it don't matter if I don't eat them very often and there's always one there if I fancy one.
I like this one the best because it's like eating a cake and I know it doesn't look like it from my reviews but I try not to overdo the unhealthy foods and that means I don't get to eat as much cake as I want to so anything sweet and sticky like this goes down nice.
The bagels taste doughy and the cinnamon is quite strong in them and there aren't many raisins and that's good for me because I'm not mad for loads of raisins but if you like a lot of fruit then you might not be that impressed with these. You can have them with sweet or savoury toppings and I've tried loads of different things like plain butter if I toast them or chocolate spread if I have them cold but if you've frozen them you need to toast them because they go a bit chewy.
They're nice with sausage in as well and that sounds mad with them being cinnamon flavour but the flavours do go proper good together. I tell you what's nice, when my mum defrosted the freezer she used a pack and made a bread and butter pudding out of them and it was wicked with the normal bread and butter mixture but the bagels instead of bread. A yummy change that she's promised to make again because all the bagel hating member of the family had to eat their words and say they enjoyed them that way!
The good thing about this flavour bagels is that you can eat them straight out of the packet with no topping if you're in a rush or wanting to cut down on fat because they're not dry like the other bagels and have got a moister consistency and the outside of them is a bit sticky. I had one toasted and dry with scrambled eggs on it for breakfast and I like this breakfast beause it's proper filling and very low fat even though it feels like you're eating loads of calories worth when you're not, I reckon they'd go nice buttered with a fry up as well as a change from fried bread.
You get 5 in a pack and they are usually on special offer and you buy 1 pack and get 1 free and that's a good way to try the different flavours. Last time I got these I chose the onion ones for the free pack and they're nice as well but because they have a strong onion taste they are not as versatile as the cinnamon ones.
