... you can bite a peice off without any real effort. I found these tasted oily- both the ice cream and the sprinkles seemed to leave an oily taste in my mouth. Not the usual high Nestle product standard I have grown to expect. The ice cream is below par for Nestle and at £1.89 for a box of four (as opposed to 99p for a box of 8 fab bars) I would rather buy the Fab bars. One lolly is 157 calories and 8.2g of fat. This is a little less than I would have thought having tasted the lolly....more

Premium Review Nobbly Bobbly -Nestle: Give this to the 'child' in you! (377 words)

I actually didn't even that these were still made but when I popped into Morrisons this week I saw that they were on 'buy one get free'. I was hungry at the time and this is a big mistake when going shopping and I threw a couple of boxes in the basket. There are four in a box and cost £1.99 if they aren't on offer. The ice lolly consists of a block of chocolate wrapped in strawberry ice cream and the whole thing is finished off with a layer of chocolate that is coated in 'hundreds and thousands'. This ice lolly is perfect for a child or an adult who still has a little child in them trying to get out (I bet Michael Jackson ate them!). The 'hundreds ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nobbly Bobbly -Nestle: A throwback to childhood treats (316 words)

Nobbly Bobbly's are a sophisticated after dinner treat, subtle in flavour, stylish and understated in their appearance....ok so I've made that up, Nobbly Bobbly's are chocolate ice lollies covered in hundreds and thousands, their messy, they look very garish and yet they are utterly gorgeous. I bought some recently on a whim as they were on special offer with a box of 4 costing 99p in Sainsbury's. The offer is only for a limited period but is well worth checking out as the weather gets warmer. The lollies, made by Nestle are packaged in a bright pink box and covered in plastic wrapping, make sure you get them home quickly in the hot weather, ours ...  Read the complete review

It seems a little strange to be writing about ice cream as the days are definitely getting cooler. However, we have just discovered these in Sainsburys and as my daughters love ice cream or lollies as a pudding sometimes, we wondered what they would be like. They had two things that instantly appealed to the girls. Firstly the name! Well anything that dares to call itself Nobbly Bobbly has to be good and both girls thought these sounded like a lot of fun. Secondly there was the picture on the packaging and the appeal of loads of hundreds and thousands on a lolly was enormous! Now on to the factual bits.... Nobbly Bobbly ice creams are made by Nestle ...  Read the complete review

The sun is shining, summer is here at last, it must be time to fill the freezer with cooling delicious ice lollies! Shopping in Tescos today, I was delighted to see that they have got Nobbly Bobblys half price at 99p for four, so in my trolley they went. I can remember going to the corner shop as a child and buying them with my pocket money, so these lollies hold a certain amount of nostalgia for me. I think they now retail individually at around 90p. Nobbly Bobblys are situated among the childrens lollies and are predominately aimed at kids as a fun product but my children don't care for them much which is great, all the more for me!
