Every now and then I go through a phase where I like to cook Mexican from one of the packages, either by Old el Paso or tescos own brand, as Mexican dinners just seem more fun! I went through a phase of kind of overdoing the whole eating fajitas thing so next time I went to the supermarket I bought a Burrito set instead, I had never tried them before, not even in a restaurant, so I was not sure what to expect. Burritos are found in Mexican (and Tex Mex) cuisine. They consist of a flour tortilla wrapped around a filling. The filling can be pretty much anything, from Sweet Potato and Bean to chilli lime prawns with sour cream. The pack is a bright yellow colour with 'Old El Paso' written accross the front in red. It was absolutely delicious! After that meal I went on to experience regular cravings for Mexican food, and began researching Mexican restaurants in my area. Then someone ... Read the complete review

****History**** The word burrito literally means "little donkey" in Spanish, coming from burro, which means "donkey". The name burrito possibly derives from the appearance of a rolled up wheat tortilla, which vaguely resembles the ear of its namesake animal, or from bedrolls and packs that donkeys carried. The story of the Burrito dates back to the early 1900s whereby a Mexican man Juan Mendez used to sell tacos from a street stall. In order to keep the tacos warm he used to wrap them up in a large flour tortilla. He had a lot of success and people used to travel far and wide to eat these special tacos, which became nicknamed burritos ... Read the complete review
