Old el paso crispy chicken fajita kits are a great alternative to the spicy chicken packs. I often buy these from sainsburys for around £2.85 as they are quick and easy meal that the whole family loves. I often buy other old el paso kits but this has got to be my favourite. I brought 4 large chicken breasts, some cheddar cheese, salad and sour cream to go with it so all in all it is a pretty expensive meal costing me around £9 for everything, but in my opinion it is well worth it! Within the pack you will find 8 tortilla wraps 1 packet of bread crumbs 1 pack of salsa 1 shake bag First grab your shaker bag and add a ... Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of making things at home myself and I am always willing to give something a go so when I saw this on offer recently in my local Sainsbury's I just had to have it! The box contains 8 soft flour tortillas, 144g of mild red salsa & 85g of crispy crumb seasoning mix and one shaker bag. The box is made of cardboard so is completely recyclable but the packaging for the tortillas, salsa & the shaker bag are made of plastic and can't be recycled where I live. I like to be aware of what I am throwing in to the environment at all times and this is my only bad comment about this product. All you will require to make the fajitas is 500g ... We've got quite the love of Mexican food, so when I was going to reach for my usual box of Old El Paso Fajitas, I saw the box of Crispy Chicken Fajitas and decided to give them a go. The box was very similar to the usual ones so you have to look closely at the front to make sure you pick up the right one - the boxes are the same yellow with a picture of a fajita on the front and logo in red; the only difference is in the wording, so you have to be switched on when you go shopping. However, the kit was a success. Inside, there are the standard plastic-wrapped fajitas, a clear plastic bag to shake the chicken and crispy coating in, the crispy coating and a ... I'm a big fan of the original chicken fajita kit so I thought I give this one a try for a change. It includes the flour tortillas, and a bag of breadcrumbs. You need to cut up some chicken breast into chunks or strips (or beef or pork or whatever you fancy really) then put them in the bag with some oil and shake! This coats the meat with the crispy outside and put it on a baking tray and pop in the oven. The good thing about this kit is that you can be quite creative. You don't need to fill you tortilla with lettuce and sour cream like they suggest. You can put things like peppers, rice, we even put crushed up Doritos in them with salsa ... Having previously bought and enjoyd other el paso kits I bought this one whilst on offer at only £1 recently. the kit contains 8 flour tortillas, crispy crumb mix for coating chicke, a ready made tomato salsa and a shaker bag to coat your chicken in. It is classed as mild - and whilst had a slight spicy taste is certainly mild. You need to buy sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and chicken to complete the meal, although i bought basics chicken bits which were cheap and ideal for this dish. Per tortilla is 183 cals which at 2 per person is not too bad, sugars 2.9g, fat5.4g, saturates 2.0g and salt 1.4g. Which makes them not totally healthy food but as ... Read the complete review
