I have used this a few times and it is pretty good for making Tex Mex food without the need to buy lots of individual ingredients although it should be noted that not everything you need is included in the pack and you will have to purchse the filling for your enchilada, I usually add chicken, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. You will also need to get some cheese and also buy sour cream to as a way of offsetting some of the heat in the food. Finally although there is some tomato puree and salsa included also buy extra to add as if you use an extra hot version in the enchilada it addsa bit of kick to it. The instructions are really clear on the packaging ... Read the complete review

Quickish, easyish and very tasty. This is a kit for those lazy people out there who may want something different. Being a student i am open to the easy meal. I found that with the pack having everything i need other then cheese and meat, it made things so much easier. I chose to get veggy meat in the fear that i am going to make myself ill by undercooking. After following the instructions i found that in 30 mins i had a very nice and spicy meal. Theres much you can do to change it, like what you serve it with. Chips, however common go well as the sauce inside makes for good dunking. Also if you have some sour cream i find that a welcome addition ... Read the complete review

Being a student, I live off pasta and cheese on toast, but have recently decided that this probably isn't the most balanced diet ever. Therefore, I decided that I should probably try and introduce something new into my diet, but that this would have to be something that required minimum effort and minimum mess. On a recent journey to Tesco, I decided to try and re create one of my favourite dishes - enchiladas - and so bought this Old el Paso enchilada dinner kit. - The product The Old el Paso dinner kit contains 8 soft corn tortillas, 1 original enchilada spice mix and 1 tomato sauce. All that you need to add is 500g chicken breast and 150g grated ... Read the complete review

The first time I ever tried enchiladas was from Old El Paso. I fancied cooking something a bit different to frozen pizza and thought I'd take a chance. I was not disappointed. The kit is so easy to use that even a cooking-moron like me can manage it. Basically, all you have to do is chop the chicken (or beef) and fry it, add all the ingredients, heat the wraps and then shove the whole lot in together and cover it in cheese and sauce. You don't need to worry about getting timings right for anything, like you would with something more complicated. Having since tried enchiladas in proper Mexican restaurants I can attest to the fact that these are as good, if not ... Read the complete review

Old El Paso Original Enchilada Set Price: £2.71 (Asda) Offers: 2 for £3.00 (Asda July 2009) The Kit: In this kit you get about eight wraps, two sachets of sauce and a packet of enchilada seasoning. The Cooking: It's very simple! I won't recreate the instructions here, but the basics are that you just follow the step by step recipe on the packet to create oven-baked wraps containing chicken in half of the the sauce provided, which are then covered in the remainder of the sauce with cheese on top! The Result: These are very tasty and quite more-ish. Once cooked they are best eaten on their own or with a few accompanying ... Read the complete review
