I am a big big fan of Mexican food and having had it in Mexico and Southern California/Arizona where it is very authentic and great tasting I was a bit skeptical about Meican food from a box but I was pleasantly surprised and am now definitely a fan of these fajitas. Fajitas are basically flour tortillas that you can wrap around meat/vegetables/sauce etc. These packs include eight flour tortillas/spice mix and mild original salsa. The only downside with these is that you do have to provide your own meat/chicken etc and all the vegetables that go inside but it still does make for a really quick, easy dinner. They now come in a variety of flavours ... Read the complete review

ARRIBA ARRIBA! I love Mexican food with a passion. It’s just the perfect hybrid between my other 2 favourites, Italian and Curry. Tomatoes and Spice! Oh, suddenly that sounds a bit gross. I’m not explaining it right. Mexican food, or more properly ‘New Mexican’ food (there’s a difference – original Mexican was altered by invading Spanish) is colourful, contains tomato and chilli peppers and some lovely dry flavours. It is sometimes misguidedly portrayed as overly spicy and greasy – but cooked properly it will never be that way! Mexican food is very often the only vegetarian choice at festivals and restaurants (do you hear me Ma Potters? Change the damn menu! Even I ... Read the complete review

So this review is actually about the barbeque style of the fajita dinner kit, which has recently been on offer at Tesco making it about £1.50 for a box - which is very cheap (I think 50% off) and good value. In the kit you get a pack of 8 tortilla wraps and a packet of salsa sauce, and you get a packet of spice mix. You do have to add other things though so this cn get pricey if you dont buy it on offer. The pack reccomends you add 500g of chicken, 1 onion and 2 peppers I think but in my house we made it with 600g of quorn pieces, a can of sweetcorn, 2 peppers and 2 onions (we wanted to feed more people - this fed 4 people along with the nachos kit quite well ... Fajita's are a really fun thing to eat, I love the whole process of making them, it's a really light hearted and sociable meal and perfect for a Friday night on the the sofa accoompanied with a couple of beers and a good film. Until I discovered this Old El Paso Fajita Dinner Kit, I only really ate fajitas when I was out eating at a Mexican restaurant. I just wasn't sure what I would need to get the right results to eat at home. I then spotted this Fajita kit which contained everything you would need to make them at home, all you would need to add is chicken and some veggies. The kit contained 8 soft flour tortillas, 144g of mild red salsa & 35g of ... Read the complete review

What are Fajita's? Only one of the best imported Mexican foods of all time! I love these and they feature as a regular part of our family diet. I think the word Fajita is spanish for strips of meat. Correct me if i'm wrong. To best explain what they are let me take you through what I do to create this wonderful meal. Old El Paso Fajita's In the box you get a pack of 8 plain tortillas in a sealed pack. A pack of Fajita spices used to cover the meat/vegetables A pack of salsa So what else do you need? I usually buy a pack of frying steak, a large onion, a pack of 3 peppers, sour cream, a lime, crushed ... Read the complete review
