The back of the packet has nutritional information, as well as recipe ideas for traditional fillings. ~Cooking~ These tortillas are very simple, just pop them one at a time in the microwave for 35 seconds, or 5 minutes in the oven. It states up to 10 minutes, but I find they get really crispy and impossible to use as wraps! I tend to turn the oven off after making dinner and just t...more

My fiancée is a big fan of Mexican, so tortillas are a frequent dish in our house. She usually does them with spicy chicken, peppers and onions. But every so often I find tortillas in my packed lunch, with left over chicken or ham and cheese in. Tortillas are great as a truly versatile food, and a lot less heavy (and lower in calories and carbohydrates) than bread. I've used tortillas before to make Mexican enchiladas, wraps, sandwiches, cut them up and put seasoning on them and made wedge crisps from them, or torn them up and used them as a topping for stews and bakes. Old El Paso is the most common brand in our house, and until recently I never thought ...  Read the complete review

I wanted to write this review because these are one of my favourite lunch ideas as well as some tasy dinner ideas. These flour tortillas are sold in nearly every Supermarket along with other El Paso accompaniments. You get 8 soft tortilla wraps to a packet (326 grams) and they retail at around £1.50 although quite often you can find them on special. The nutritional info (per 100 grams) is as follows:- 140 calories 3.8 grams protein 19.8 grams carbohydrates 5.1 grams of fat 0.7 grams of fibre 0.2 grams of sodium These are also suitable for vegetarians. They are really easy to prepare too. It's a choice ...  Read the complete review

I often have a tortilla wrap for my lunch as I find bread rather stodgy to eat so early in the day, up until recently I have eaten either Tesco Light Choices or Discovery tortillas. It was only because these Old El Paso ones were on special offer in my local shop that I decided to try them, thinking that really one tortilla wrap is very much like another and it's the filling that makes all the difference. I was wrong. These wraps are absolutely delicious and superior in quality to others I've eaten, they have a lovely rounded flavour that is both floury and slightly doughy and really adds to the flavours of the fillings. They're slightly smaller ...  Read the complete review

Old El Paso Flour Tortillas were designed to aid people in the making of Mexican foodstuffs such as Fajitas, Burritos and Enchiladas. Little do Old El Paso know though, that they have provided at least one customer who has found a use for these flour tortillas for just about anything. I eat these things all the time and although these are absolutely perfect for Mexican food, I regularly find myself holding a wrap of simple chicken and mayonnaise, or even just eating one by itself if I'm peckish. They are perfect if you want a sandwhich but with a bit of a twist. Packaging wise these are also very interesting, with the traditional Old El Paso yellow colouring ...  Read the complete review
