Premium Review Other Sorbets and Ice Creams: Sorbets - light, refreshing desert delights! (626 words)

Sorbets are fantastic alternatives to ice cream. They're healthier and more refreshing to eat I find and they really are quite easy to prepare and make. Of course you can buy them in supermarkets, but I personally prefer to make homemade ones as first of all, it's cheaper, secondly, I may as well make use of my ice cream maker, and last of all, ...  Read the complete review

Oreo was always my favorite cookie. Nothing beats it hands down. Get some milk, get some Oreos, and you're set for your adventure. So when I was walking down the isle one day and saw that the world of Oreos was having an affair with vanilla ice cream, my favorite flavor, I knew that up until now, my taste buds had not lived. No... they ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Lemon Sorbet 500ml. I originally bought this sorbet because I like the Tesco range of food, it tends to be cheaper than the name brands and generally at the same quality. I had wanted to buy the Mango flavour but it appears that they stopped selling that last year which is a shame as it was delicious. However when I tried this sorbet, I ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Other Sorbets and Ice Creams
by Ginger Mummy - written on 21/05/08

Co-op Tiramisu ice cream 500ml. This is the most gorgeous ice cream EVER. Not being ever so fond of ice creams in general this one caught my eye followed swiftly by my tastebuds!
Keeping it away from the rest of the family has been a real challenge though - especially the 6 year old daughter strangely.
Described as rich dairy ice cream with Colombian coffee and sponge pieces, finished with a chocolate and marsala swirl. My description would be smooth, senuous, pure indulgence in a tub!

One of the worst things that can spoil your enjoyment of certain foods is to have an allergy problem such as lactose intolerance or gluten intolerance. Vegans and vegetarians and people on certain types of diets also suffer the same fate, so I’m going to be doing some reviews on foods that you can eat. I started with my cheese review and my Soya ...  Read the complete review

I have always considered Sorbet to be the poor relation to Ice Cream. Sure, it’s nice enough on a hot day but it just seems to lack that luxurious feel that a good tub of Ice Cream elicits. So imagine my dismay when I turned up at my local Farmfoods freezer shop to find that luxury Ice cream was extremely thin on the ground. Should I go for a ...  Read the complete review

On my list of preferred comfort foods, you will find chocolate in the number one spot but icecream undoubtedly comes a very close second! The other day, I was feeling particularly down in the dumps. With the exception of a couple of flavors from Hagen Daz,I am certainly not an ice-cream fan. This was one of the reasons I was so surprised to find I could actually devour a 500 ml tub of ice-cream in less than half an hour!! Shopping for a few bargains in my local freezer bargain shop (Jack Fullerton's), I chanced upon 500ml tubs of ...  Read the complete review

Do you remember those delicious ?Starburst? lollies? With the last week or so being a scorcher weather-wise, ice-cream has been order of the day, especially in our household. In preparation of this heatwave, our freezer has been stocked to bursting point with frozen delights to help keep us cool during those long, hot summer days. Wall?s Solero?s are a favourite of mine. Wouldn't you know it? Nothing for ages and then two come along at once - food reviews that is! I am writing this whilst tucking into my first Malteser Ice cream. **PRE-TASTER COMMENTS** We have all heard, seen and some of us tried Jamie Olivers quick pudding idea of crushed maltesers over ice cream.
