Paynes Toffee Poppets:
... have been around for ever! Or certainly for as long as I can remember........made by Fox s, the toffees which are covered in milk choclate, are presented in a small red box. The pictures on the box vary from box to box, and are reminiscent of times gone by - examples would include the NatWest piggy banks and the Rubik s cube - definitely a cheeky reminder that these sweets have been around. For me the box ... Read the full review: Just poppet in....... by hypno06 |

Lyons Sports Mixture ... he would never give him one. How horrible:( I really like them and thought I d treat us to a bag as it is christmas after all. I got mine in Sainsburys but I know you can pick them up in just about any supermarket and my local Spar does them too. They cost me exactly £1.00 for a 215g bag. The bag contains about forty sweets and they are shaped like cricket bats, tennis bats, boats and various other sporting equipment. Each one is about the size of a thumb nail and the flavours are lime, raspberry, blackcurrant, pineapple and apricot. They are very chewy (not recommended for those with bad teeth or false teeth!) and can be quite hard if you keep them in a cold kitchen ... Read the full review: Very sporty! by Claribella |

Paynes Toffee Poppets ... Poppets have been around for ages, and they are one of my favourite sweets. Anytime that I am in the shops and I walk past them I can t resist something shouts out to me and I have to buy them. -History- Poppets were the great invention of the company called Paynes which is now part if the Fox Company and they were first launched in 1937, that s 71 years! Paynes Poppets cartons are available in four flavours, Mint, Toffee, Raisin and Orange and 200g Mint & Toffee bags. -So what are they- Poppets are small bite sized mouthfuls of chocolate coated toffee. That comes in a packet with a few different designs depending on the flavour, which I have described bel... Read the full review: Poppin brilliant by kd60 |

Bernard Matthews Mini Kievs ... they did look nice and appealing, but the taste was far from that, they where dry, and from what sauce was left over-powered the rest of the ball, and i could taste the chicken or the coating very much, from what i could taste it was very bland, and the chicken left a horrible feeling in my mouth afterwards. I thought at first i had over-cooked them, but sure enough when i had some more another day they where exactly the same, but it s the same with all frozen foods, they look yummy on the packet but when you go to eat them the don t taste as near as nice as they claim to be. Each ball contains 44 calories, which isn t to bad as i thought they d be a lot more hig... Read the full review: Bernard Matthews- Mini Chicken Kiev's- by mummy2twogirls |
