I first had Parrano cheese at a family friends who had just had a four week trip travelling around France, Belgiumand Holland. They brought back some wonderful culinery delights including Parrano! When they first said Parrano I thought they maybe had bought this in Italy due to its name but they went onto explain that it was actually Dutch! *~*~* The Cheese *~*~* Strangely enough Parrano is not Italian but Dutch! Why oh why did the Dutch give it an Italian name?! (Parrano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Terni in the Italian region Umbria).
