Patacks tikka masala paste
This is one of many pataks products, I own up to using quite a lot of them and the pataks tikka masala is one I use frequently.
This jar is available in most of the supermarkets. This paste comes in a jar containing 233 g. Costs £1.41p in tescos.

This paste is easy to use you could use one of the recipes on the jar or the patak website. www.pataks.co.uk. Or like me you could make your own up.

The meats I use this paste on are chicken and lamb.
I shall not give you precise recipes, errrrrrr that is not the way I cook. Each meal is a bit different in quantities and ingredients.When you have coked as many meals as I have you get the feel of which ingredients are right and how much to use.

But a rough guide I will fry some onions (2 or 3) some garlic. Add some chicken or lamb; sometimes if I think about it before, I will marinate the meats in the paste and some yoghurt. About 200-250 g meat to 75 (3 or 4 desert spoons) maybe I will add some mushrooms or/and tomatoes lightly fry for a minute or two then put in the oven in a casserole dish low heat for between 1 and 2 hours.

This paste is also good with potato onions spinach and tomatoes coriander is great added to this.

This patak sauce usually makes a great dish if yoghurt is added to it makes a nice creamy sauce
I like to serve with Nan breads.

Patak has been making curry and sauces since the 1950’s starting selling samosas and selling on a market stall. Now it is a multi product industry, one that makes my curry manufacture easy. . Thanks for reading Mary
