Advantages: tastey, small
Disadvantages: too morish, might stain your fingers.
I have decided that these m & ms are perfectly acceptable as a healthy snack! Just like fruit and nut chocolate. As they contain peanuts this is clearly a good source of protein. The chocolate clearly provides a low amount to your daily allowance of fat, it can give you energy and make you feel happy.
Obviously if you consume the whole of a big bag that's just plain greedy and you're likely to feel sick, but who am I to judge when I've done it myself.
The bag is yellow so you can't really miss them in the shop. My 45g packet cost me 47p and I only had 17 m&ms in it! That comes to the value of approximately 0.027 per m&m. (I was a bit bored earlier on!) Still not sure if that makes it good value or not.
Personally I like to bite the chocolate off first and then eat the peanut separately, that's only for the first few though. After that it's just crunch crunch crunch!
The problem with this is that they are incredibly morish. I think considering the price and the speed it takes to consume them you'd probably be better off buying the bigger bag, something like £1.28 which should, theoretically speaking, make them last longer. However in some cases, the term out of sight out of mind is complete nonsense.
The m&m is a basic sweet and there's nothing fancy about it. One peanut. Covered in a good layer of milk chocolate. With a thin crispy shell-oddly enough I think the shell is nicer on these than on smarties or minstrels. The taste of the chocolate mixed with the peanut gives a nice flavour. I think mainly because the chocolate is sweet whilst the peanut has still got that savoury hint about it.
They come in a variety of colours-brown, green, red, blue and yellow. However when coming to eating them your fingers may become a bit stained from the shell colours so bare that it mind.
These are perfect for a little treat, or a big treat if you opt for the larger size. They aren't bulky so you can even eat them discreetly enough for no one to notice-then you won't have to offer them one!
Well worth a few minutes of yummy chocolate.
