Advantages: Cheap, nice packaging, singly wrapped.

Disadvantages: Nothing

McVities Penguins are chocolate biscuits with a layer of chocolate cream and completely covered in chocolate so it's definitely safe to say that this will cure your urgently required chocolate hit!

They are available in multipacks of 9 and you can't buy these separate as far as I know. Each biscuit is singly wrapped (for freshness) and this makes them ideal for lunchboxes or taking on picnics etc. They have different coloured wrappers and although they all taste exactly the same I can remember growing up in my house and everybody arguing over the blue and pink ones! How childish! Each penguin has a joke printed on the back with the answer available under the flap at the back, these are just utterly rubbish jokes and no better than ones you'd find inside a Christmas cracker but I can remember reading these jokes when I was little and thinking I was really clever when my Mum laughed! She was probably laughing because the joke was ridiculous.

The penguin is lovely, it's nice and crunchy and the chocolate is really tasty. These are a little small for the amount of calories I guess, 114 per bar, but then if you only eat one or two as a treat it won't do you too much harm. I am definitely a fan of the penguin and I know my nieces & nephews love them too.

I have seen multi-packs of 9 available from Poundland for £1.00 but these might be cheaper in supermarkets when they have special offers on so keep your eyes peeled.

I am rating these 5/5 as they are cheap, individually wrapped which makes them great for packed lunches and they taste nice too! P-p-p-p-pick up a penguin today!

Summary: A great snack as part of a healthy balance diet (who am I kidding!).
