Advantages: great taste
Disadvantages: unhealthy to eat loads in one go.
One of the things my sweet draw always contains is a pack of penguin biscuits.
Penguin bars are chocolate cream sandwiched between two chocolate biscuits and coated in milk chocolate so its great for all those chocaholics out there!
They've been around since 1932 and Brits eat their way through a whopping 430 million bars of them every year.
McVities penguin bars contain:
156 Calories
14.4g Sugars
8.3g Fat
5.4g Saturates
0.1g Salt
Which means they arent exactly a healthy option but are very very tasty indeed.
The pack advertises the fact that penguin bars contain no artificial colours of flavours, no hydrogenated vegetable oil and has added calcium.
They are also suitable for vegetarians.
The main mulipack packet is read with an image of a penguin on it and the McVities logo in the bottom right hand corner.
Each individually wrapped bar can come in an assortment of colours including purple, red, turquoise and blue. In the centre of the the packet theirs a dancing penguin with the words "p..p..p..pick up a ... ".
In ASDA a packet of nine McVities Penguin biscuits are around £1.26 which means they aren't badly priced.
Summary: chocolate biscuit snack.
