Advantages: Taste, Quality & Smell.
Disadvantages: Fat Level.
Penguins are a classic, and a great hit with all ages. This is easy to understand, with nice chocolate, a great taste and a high quality that can be expected from McVities.
The packaging is very bright, and stands out very easily on the supermarket shelves with the distinctive branding. The text is easy to read and it can be opened very easily. However, it is very thin, and breaks so the penguins will all fall out. They are always fresh, with the individual packaging for every bar.
The product is always high quality, with the same size, taste and no problems with the product such as biscuit quantity or level of chocolate. There is no match, amongst alternative brands.
When you open the packet, a nice smell drifts into your nose, making you want to pop it into your mouth. It is quite small, and can be eaten in a couple of bites. This makes you want to eat more, as they are very addicting. You get a nice crunch when you bite into the product, as it melts in your mouth. You are then hit by the creamy layer of chocolate cream and milk chocolate combining together in a perfect mix. It is quite strong and can sometimes be too strong, but there is no aftertaste. The texture is very nice, with a smooth feeling. They have a good size, and with the thick layers, you can enjoy it for along time, more than the average chocolate bar or snack.
They are very filling, and are the perfect product to fill that gap in between meals. The product isn't too unhealthy, better than other similar products as it doesn't have too many calories but the fat level is quite high.
Overall, a great product that everyone enjoys. It is quite rich, but the flavour combination works really well and the texture is perfect.
Summary: A great classic for everyone to enjoy.
