Advantages: Everything

Disadvantages: Mildly unhealthy but mostly good!

The Penguin bar is one of many products on Dooyoo I've reviewed as of late that just gives me a pang of nostalgia - these bars were a frequent staple of my childhood, and I fondly remember opening my lunchbox many a time and finding these delights inside. Somehow, my undiscerning young self found the jokes funny - that, or they have, in fact, actually been getting worse, as many have suggested.

Vetern biscuit makers McVities bring us this delightful chocolate bar - it is a crunchy shortbread biscuit covered in a soft layer of chocolate that is almost mouth-watering to bite into. Atop this is another harder layer of chooclate, giving it all the more crisp chocolatey taste! They come in several flavours, such as Orange, but the plain version has always been the quintessential bar.

What's more? They're actually not TOO unhealthy for you - of course, no chocolate is recommended if you're trying to pull the waistline back, but each bar only contains about 90 calories, so they're fine for treating yourself at the end of a hard day's work, and you shouldn't feel too guilty about it either!

Thankfully, they're also absurdly cheap - even at full price, they cost barely over £2 for 18 bars, and they're very often on offer for half price, meaning the most you'll ever pay for one bar will be a bit over 10p!

Miraculously melding a fairly low calorie count with a great taste and a stunningly cheap price, these are a delightful addition to either the kid's lunchbox, or simply a post-meal snack. You can enjoy these and feel less guilty about pigging out!

Summary: Surprisingly both cheap AND not unhealthy!
