Advantages: Tasty and Cheap

Disadvantages: Not the best chocolate in the world

Haven't had a penguin bar since I was about 10 years old, but on a recent shopping trip to morrisons, they were on special offer at 9 for 60p so I thought I would give them a try. They really havent changed in years and are still as delicious as ever. They are basically a glorified boourbon cream with a soft creamy centre, surrounded by bourbon biscuit and coated in milk chocolate, a really nice treat to have with a cup of tea.

The texture is great as the crunchy biscuit contrasts with the softer centre to create a taste sensation. The chocolate, as you may expect, is defintely not the finest swiss, but at the cheap price, it isnt half bad, we are in a credit crunch after all - I would defintely recommend that anyone who hasnt had one of these in as long as I have pick one up (no pun intended) as they are every bit as good as you will remember.

The tacky silly joke on the wrappers, don't appear to have changed in years either!

Summary: A slice of youth
