Introduction (ooo how I yearn for the full fat!): Now, call me a traditionalist, but I like my cream cheese full fat. In the past I have thought, what's the point of a light version, why sacrifice the gorgeous taste, for the sake of saving a few calories? I adore Philadelphia and it is probably my favourite of all cheeses (although Brie does come a close second). I could eat Philadelphia on it's own, I find it that yummy. On toast, crackers, apples, burgers, steaks, with chips, a dip with veggies, anything! One day, I decided to start a health kick, and came to the (quite obvious) conclusion that it would be worth trying the lesser fat options. So, I tried ... Read the complete review

What a coincidence; it was just this week that I first purchased Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light cheese spread, so what better opportunity do I have to share my experience of this product than now?! Why Did I Purchase? -------------------------------- There are two main reasons why I initially purchased the cheese. The first of which is that I have recently become quite addicted to the Kraft Splendips products (little snack pots with various dips, including a cheese option). I fell in love with the Philadelphia cheese at first taste, and wondered whether it would taste as glorious when bought in a tub, unaccompanied. In order to settle my ... Read the complete review

Cream Cheese. Even saying the name out loud makes you look fatter. Oh the joy of spreading a good dollop of rich, thick, creamy Philly on a Ritz cracker and popping the whole thing in your mouth at once, licking your lips to pick up any errant cracker crumbs that might have spilled over as you took that first crunch! But we are always being told to watch our saturated fat and salt intake these days and I am no longer the slip of a girl I once was so cheese is a bit of a no-no now. A lifetime on the hips and all that. My daily lunchtime sarnie now has ham or tuna and cucumber in it instead of cheese and pickle; my coleslaw is low fat (boring) and I ... Read the complete review

Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light So your looking for a tasty snack, well look no further. This is the best cream cheese product I have come across and it has a lot less calories than the original Philadelphia, which is quite high in calorie intake and that's a dangerous thing if your dieting and love the taste. The Kraft Philadelphia Extra Light however, is a nice treat without the guilt. Philadelphia cream cheese has 8.2 grams of fat and 86 Calories for a 30g serving. Which is 1/3 less fat than other cream cheeses. Philadelphia contains 5.5 grams of fat and 64 calories per 30g serving. So if your dieting this can really help as sometimes it's hard ... Kraft Philadelphia - A Little Taste of Heaven ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why I buy Philadelphia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a great fan of all things cheese, from soft cheeses to hard. I have always loved Philadelphia, whether it be the normal version, light or even extra light, I find no difference in quality between them. As I am currently on a diet the extra light version is perfect for me. The same great taste but better for you! And those adverts, although annoying look so tasty and always have me craving Philadelphia and they remind you that you can still have these tasty recipes with Light and Extra Light ...
