Premium Review Phileas Fogg -Irish Cheddar and Onion Chutney: Posh Cheese & Onion Crisps (360 words)

I always like to try new brands and I am a fan of Kettle crisps and other hand cooked crisps so I picked these up in an instant when I saw them on an introductory offer in Tesco's. Phileas Fogg crisps are named after the traveller in Jules Verne's 'Around the World in Eighty Days.' As I have now discovered they have actually been around since 1982 but have not been available readily in big supermarkets until recently. The packaging is very appealing in my opinion. It is white and features a big blue hot air balloon with Phileas Fogg hanging out of the basket and pointing to what I take to be the setting for the crisps flavour - an Irish village from ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A tasty 'posh' snack (225 words)

The Phileas Fogg range of crisps are a very good choice. Like most brands they have quite a good range of flavours including salt and vinegar, sour cream and chive, cheese and onion etc. The flavours are based on flavours from around the world because they are named after Phileas Fogg the adventurer who travelled the world in 80 days. Therefore, in typical posh crisp slender, they don't do cheese and onion as such. Oh no...Phileas Fogg crisps are Irish Cheddar with Onion Chutney flavour! We all know that means cheese and onion but somehow it makes them seem more appealing and they most certainly taste better than your average crisp. Flavours are intense and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Phileas Fogg -Irish Cheddar and Onion Chutney: Phileas Fogg - Made with a World of Flavour (393 words)

Always on the look out for a bargain I spotted this bag of crisps in Morrisons for 70p which I think is good value for a 140g bag. **Packaging** One of the other reasons I picked up these crisps is because the packaging really stood out on the shelf they look so posh! The packaging is white in colour, on the front of the bag is a picture of a blue hot air balloon with a very posh gentleman and a very nice rustic village scene. Also on the packaging it says :- * No Artificial Colours or Flavours * Made with 100% Sunflower Oil * No MSG * No hydrogenated Vegetable Oil **What do I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Treat yourself to these posh but edible crisps (287 words)

I have had these in my office drawer for a while now and today was their turn to be eaten! The crisps came in a mixed bag of crisps from a shop in Barnsley called The Company Shop - you have to be a member - but they sell good quality food for very low prices. I like things like the mixed lot of crisps as you get to try lots of different brands and flavours without getting stuck with lots of crisps you don't like the flavour of. Not that this was a problem here. The packaging is POSH, the flavour intriguing 'Irish cheddar with onion chutney' with a 'just arrived' banner on the top I guess it means it's a new flavour and is a good pun with the ...  Read the complete review
