... quite a hefty sum. Now they only take approx 5 minutes to cook so I popped the actual box, which comes in the form of a foil tray in the oven when my pizza was 5 minutes away from being cooked. When the buzzer went I pulled them out and could see that they had turned slightly golden in colour, they certainly looked great. My daughter was really excited when she saw these, I guess for a four year old, these dough balls look far more exciting than your standard garlic bread. I was quite impressed by the quantity that ca...more

I am a Pizza Fiend and tend to consume lots of it whenever it is take-away night. However when it comes to eating Pizza when out I ALWAYS choose Pizza Express. When Sainsbury's started bringing out the Pizza Express range I was (very sad I know) quite excited. The most recent box I brought (around a week ago) was £2.29 for a box of 16 dough balls and the pot of garlic butter dip. I picked them up and practically ran home. Whenever I have eaten these in the restaurants they have been perfect. However, if you decide to do what I did, and not bother looking at the box it can all turn into a mess. After my failed first attempt where I overcooked them ...  Read the complete review

Pizza Express have produced their box of dough balls with the intention that you buy them as a starter for your meal, I buy them simply because they are a tasty little snack. Although I just love pizza and all of the trappings that are associated with the Italian delight it is very rare that I buy a ready made pizza unless it has been significantly reduced in price. But these Pizza Express dough balls are one of the affordable treats at around £2.25 for a box of sixteen complete with the garlic dip. Before I move onto talk about the product I would just like to mention the stylish packaging. Pizza Express chose their colours and package design well, ...  Read the complete review

I have only fairly recently discovered the joys of Dough Balls, I tried them in an Italian restaurant in London and became hooked from the very first mouthful. When I saw that Tesco sell chilled dough balls made by Pizza Express I decided to buy a box as a treat for myself and my granddaughters' with a pizza and some garlic bread. They are very tasty indeed, although I wasn't overly fond of the garlic and herb butter that was served with them. The balls are a nice size, just right to be eaten in two mouthfuls and you get sixteen dough balls in each box which seems about right to me considering the size portion I had received in the Italian ...  Read the complete review

During my recent Tesco's dash for a Pizza Express pizza to cheer up my little girl I was looking for some garlic bread to eat with our pizza when I spotted these Pizza Express Dough Balls. They were not something that I had even heard of let alone eaten before when I spotted that they were on special offer - free when you bought a 12 inch pizza - I suddenly became quite intrigued. I popped them in my basket and was quite excited to have found a bargain. From a quick look at the box I could see they were little dough balls that you simply popped in the oven for a few minutes and then eat them with the enclosed garlic butter dip .... they sounded yummy. Now ...  Read the complete review

Whenever we go to Pizza Express we often get a plate of dough balls to share amongst the people in our group as a starter as it is a very sociable way of eating and the dough balls come with nice soft garlic butter to dip them in or to put a thin sliver on top and allow it to melt. Well now you no longer have to go to Pizza Express to enjoy their dough balls as you can buy them from the supermarket chiller compartments. Each box contains 16 dough balls so can be shared amongst four or less people, they are easy to bake in preperation and they come with a garlic butter dip. The dough balls came out the oven a nice golden brown colour and there is a ...  Read the complete review
