Advantages: Cheap, filling, little washing up, nice taste and variety of flavours
Disadvantages: Unhealthy, high fat content
Pot noodle is a tasty snack that people on a budget and students seem to become addicted to. They offer a variety of flavours, from chicken and mushroom, sweet and sour, spicy curry, beef and tomato, chow mein, southern fried chicken, bombay bad boy and the latest addition, doner kebab. They come in a pot of 90g for the standard sized pot noodles, and 114g for the King sized pot noodles.
The pot noodle pot saves a lot of washing up. All you will have to wash up after eating is the fork, as the pot can be thrown away, making it perfect to enjoy as a quick snack over lunch. I enjoy all of the flavours, but my personal favourite has to be the spicy curry flavour.
Pot noodles are incredibly easy to make. Simply boil the kettle with enough water, remove the foil lid, take out the sachet and add the boiling water. Once you have added the water leave it to stand for 2 minutes then stir the noodles and leave to stand again for a minute. Finally, add the sachet of sauce to complete. I find that you really do have to leave the noodles in boiling water for long enough, or they will not cook properly and they remain hard and crunchy.
Another point to remember to take into acount is to only fill the pot noodle with just enough water when preparing. If you add too little water, loads of water ends up left at the end as a soup mixture of the sauces. You end up having to sieve through all the noodles to get the noodles out.

Pricing
A standard sized pot noodle of any flavour retails at 85p at Sainsbury's, and the king size retails at £1 each. From corner shops, the standard sized pots cost around £1. Overall, a great lunchtime snack or any time during the day with very little washing up to do. One of the best instant meals avaliable.
Summary: A delicious quick snack enjoyed any time of the day
