Advantages: Efficient, Easy & Quick To Prepare, Tasty, Range Of Flavours, Hot, Filling

Disadvantages: Unhealthy

Pot Noodles are well-known snacks full of nutritional ingredients - well not so healthy to be honest, but they do fill you up and are very easy to prepare. They are ideal for lunches and even dinners. They make great snacks otherwise but they contain a lot of carbohydrates and saturated fat, which isn't so good for your health and weight. They come in a variety of flavours and each pot ranges from around 83-88p.

- Chicken & Mushroom
- Chow Mein
- Nice 'n' Spicy
- Spicy Curry
- Sweet & Sour
- Bombay Bad

At Tesco and Sainsburys, you can get a four pack of the Chicken & Mushroom flavour for £3.22, which saves you a bit of money! This flavour is arguably the most popular and it's my personal favourite. It does actually resemble chicken and has a nice flavour to it.

You simply peel off the foil lid and inside you will find the dried noodles and whatever else such as vegetables as well as a small packet containing a sauce or flavouring. You just add boiling water to the line inside the pot and leave it to stand before stirring it, leaving it to stand once more and it's then ready to eat. The noodles do get soft and it does work very well. It's easy to do and makes a cheap and efficient hot snack.

The king size ones are around 118g in comparison to around 90g for the normal sized ones and the king size cost £1.13. They are not as common as the regular ones but you should find them somewhere such as Tesco.

Overall, they are very easy to prepare and make a good filling and hot meal. They are quite tasty and available in a range of different flavours. They are not expensive but I would not recommend eating too many on a regular basis as it's a typical snack, which is bad for your health and diet.

Thanks for reading,

Dan ©

Summary: A very tasty hot snack that is quite filling and not expensive

I used to live off the chicken and mushroom one when living in a bedsitter in Putnet in 1992. Them were the days LOL. Thanks for the nostalgia kick 8^)
