Potted Noodles...oooh errr!!! (Pot Noodle)

Advantages: Quick Hot Snack

Disadvantages: Not all that big on flavour

Pot Noodle is a snack made from dried noodles, pieces of soya, dried vegetables and a flavoured sauce sachet.

The main draw of pot noodles is their easy and quick to make

Boil a kettle

pour water up to the printed line on the inside of the pot

add flavour sachet and stir up

Thats pretty much all there is to it.

That is where the attraction ends for me. Theres not much flavour at all (the sauce is fairly strong but the whole thing still manages to taste bland). And the spicy varieties arent hot at all (even the bombay bad boy).

It does really bug me when a company draws specific attention to how uncontrollably spicy a product is, only for it to turn out really really mild.
I wish they'd either make it really hot or call it mild.

There are a wide variety of 'flavours' to choose from

Beef & Tomato
Sweet & Sour
Original Curry
Chicken & Mushroom
Tikka Masala
Doner Kebab
Chinese Chow Mein
Sweet & Spicy
Southern Fried Chicken
Bombay Bad Boy
Chicken Satay

Although they do all have a distinctly bland flavour.

These are a good post pub food as theyre dead easy to make, i must admit next time i roll in from the pub i do wanna try the donner flavour (i know its wrong but it seems so right).

As you've probably guessed by now im not generally a fan of the pot as anything other than a drunken snack. If its a quick to prepare, delicious tasting noodle your after then look no further than Bachelors Super Noodles they really are so super you know ; P

One final point, they are really messy to eat (although maybe its just me) but i always end up with little pot noodle coloured dots on my nice white T shirt.

Its a shame, i really like the idea of pot noodle but its just a little bit on the bland side, sigh, oh well, super noodles for me everytime.

Summary: Noodles errrrmmm.....IN A POT!!!!!
