Advantages: they are different to any other crisps on offer

Disadvantages: The taste is all wrong

I bought these in Asda a few days ago as they where on a special offer. 50p for a 150g bag, An offer I just could not refuse as they normally cost around 3 times that.

***The Packaging***

The pack is is thicker than normal foil bag that is crimp sealed at either end to keep them super fresh. The picture on the bag does make them look appealing. The pack is a quality bag, therefor, you'd expect the product to be good quality too. I think the crisps look like mini poppadoms.

***The Product***

On opening the bag you get a nice, strong, but not overpowering smell of spices. The bag is over half filled with these oval, bubbly crisps. The crisps look quite greasy and covered in flavouring, you can visibly see salt and paprika on them. They are very crunchy, more so than normal crisps as they are slightly thicker. The initial taste I got was a zesty lime and coconut and then an overpowering spicy kick afterwards. I think that the after taste is a bit too spicy for me as a crisp.

***The Facts***

This pack contains 150g. They are suitable for vegetarians.
Each 25g contains
126 kcals
1.3g protein
14g carbohydrate
6.5g fat
1.6g saturates
0.2g salt

***My Opinion***

I think that as far as crisps go they certainly are unique, the extra crunch and overpowering taste is a bit much, The don't particularly taste like sweet chilli either. I won't buy these again. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are Pringles, as they are a totally different to the original tubed ones.

Summary: "A whole new experience" (That's their tagline)

not touched pringles since I did the 'how much energy in food' experiment with my year 7 class last year. (you know the one, burn the food and hold it under a tube of water to see how much the temp goes up by)

The amount of fat you could see bubbling out of them put me off them for life.
