Advantages: Very Tasty
Disadvantages: None
I'm not the healthiest eater around but I do try from time to time. Skimmed Milk, No Sugar in Tea or Coffee, Virgin Oil instead of other oils, Low Fat Yoghurt etc, so when I saw these Snack a Jacks some time ago I really did have to give them a try, and I wasn't disappointed. I have tried a few flavours but the one I will review today is the Salt and Vinegar Flavour.
The packet came in a multi pack and is a lot smaller than the other larger packets that you find in the supermarket. The packet is only 22g. Very small I think you'll agree, but I do believe that other 'crisp' manufacturers should take note. I personally need to look at resizing my meals and snacks, and this certainly helps. Salt and Vinegar came ina blue bag with Snack a Jacks blazened across the front. It was also clear to point out thatin this particular Rice and Corn Snack there was only 7% fat, which is extremely good in my opinion - comparing it to crisps anyway!
The Taste
I really enjoyed the taste but I guess that many others might find the salty taste too much. Personally I love licking the salt and vinegar off. I then like eating the round 'crisp', well to be honest they really aren't crisp, they are really quite soft.
Nutritional Info
The pack only had 89 calories
Sugars 0.4g
Fat 1.6g
Saturates 0.2g
Salt 0.6g
It also states that the snack is suitable for Coeliacs and Vegetarians. Unlike other crisps they also have a very long useby date. In my case it was February next year.
I am going to give this snack 5/5 as it ticked all my boxes
taste
healthy (well relatively)
low in calories
Summary: A nice snack - and quite healthy!!

- 06/07/09 I take your point. Maybe I looked at the calories rather than the grams:-) |

- 06/07/09 A healthy snack? Surely not! 22g = 89 calories.
thats about 397 calories per 100g (an average size 'snack' - for me, but then maybe I am greedy. |
