... my friends children enjoy them just as much as i do! They also come in larger family size boxes - unlike some quaker cereals. I like sugar puffs as they are sweet without being sugar overload like frosties etc. I always find just one bowl fills me up, but the calorie content isnt as high as you might expect, so if i do indulge its not going to damage the waistline too much. They dont go soggy too quickly in milk as well ( some cereal seems to turn into a wet mess at the bottom of the bowl immediately) They are ...more

Sugar Puffs. I don't like Sugar Puffs. I'll tell you for why...... Each puff is around the same size as 3 or 4 peas, they don't look to appetising either, they look like little bugs. It beats me why they're call sugar puffs to, what sugar? They seem like they've been dipped in som sort of syrup thats been left to dry and go stodgy on each puff, the Sugar Puff title leads you to believe that they have some sorta dried sugar crystals on them. Another big flop with these is that after about 4 days of them being opened they turn into one GIGANTIC 'sugar' puff they all stick together, so your more than welcome to a slice, but forget having a bowl! Plus they don't ...  Read the complete review

I don't eat Sugar Puffs that much but sometimes I get the taste for them and will eat a box in a few days. They're a proper light cereal made out of puffed wheat and the box tells me that they are glazed with honey and brown sugar. They look like pale coffee beans to me because of how the wheat splits down the middle as it has puffed up. Sugar Puffs are a light and crispy cereal, when they're in the milk the go a bit softer but the glaze stops them soaking up so much milk that they go soggy. They're very sweet and you deffo don't need to add sugar to them, I wouldn't say they're mega sweet or taste specific of brown sugar but they have got a very ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Quaker Sugar Puffs: What happened to my Sugar Puffs?! (714 words)

Like a lot of people I remember the lovely soft wheat 'honey goodness' from my childhood when I must admit I did quite look forward to breakfast, as most of the time I would 'bully' my parents into planting the most chocolate covered, sugar coated cereal in front of me most mornings. With the premise that I would be a 'good' girl as long as I had my 'fix' so to say. Coco Pops, Nesquik and Corn Pops were amongst my top 10 with Sugar Puffs being right up there, in the top 3 at least! I know its not just me and that a lot of these breakfast cereals have been dramatically changed over the years, to be ,'healthier' I believe they say in most cases but I cant help ...  Read the complete review

Sugar Puffs were a regular fixture at home when I was a kid. Now I have my own household, I don't tend to have them quite as much as when I was younger. They're among the costlier of the cereals on the shelves, and I tend to go for supermarket own brands or whatever is on offer. Recently, these have been on offer for a week or so and then a month later the same thing happens. This time, they were on offer for 79p for the 320g box, and I grabbed three of them. Of course, the rule goes that the more you buy, the quicker you eat it, so they're pretty much all gone now, but it was good while we had them. Essentially, they're just puffed up pieces of ...  Read the complete review

I cannot believe I haven't had Sugar Puffs for so long! I bought a box for my granddaughters' breakfast a couple of weekends ago and after realising I'd run out of cornflakes decided to have a bowl, remembering while I ate them that it's been at least eight years since I last ate them and probably more like ten! Sugar Puffs are basically puffed wheat which has been coated with sugar and honey, resulting in a slightly crispy yet deliciously soft breakfast cereal. It's quite simply one of the nicest cereals out there and at risk of repeating myself, I simply cannot understand why I haven't eaten them before now! I had mine this morning with a drop ...  Read the complete review
