Advantages: The strawberry and orange creams.
Disadvantages: Not enough of the good ones and too many toffee penny`s!
At Christmas time I never fail to end up with at least one tin of quality street sweets and I am thankful for them but why do Nestle insist on filling the tin with the ones they must know fine well are not peoples favourites and then just adding a few of the good ones to the tin?
The people at Nestle are not stupid; they know that the majority of people have the same favourites such as the strawberry creams, the Milk Chocolate Hazelnut (the 'Purple One') and the orange cream.
Most of the others are ok too and I do like a toffee or two but the tin is always full of the toffee penny`s (you know the ones without chocolate that have no place in there), I guess because they are cheaper to produce.
You also get another two toffees and this is too much for me and for most other people too or certainly my friends and family would all agree anyway.
I deliberately tipped out a tin and counted them at Christmas and there were only 8 strawberry creams and 9 orange creams in the whole tin yet there were 11 toffee penny`s 12 toffee fingers and a whopping 14 of the coconut ones that are absolutely horrid.
Nestle need to get their act together and give us more of the good ones and less of the horrid coconut numbers and the bloody toffees with no chocolate.
THE SWEETS
Milk Chocolate Hazelnut (the 'Purple One')
Chocolate Orange Crème
Chocolate Noisette
Chocolate Toffee Finger
Vanilla Fudge
Toffee Penny
Strawberry Delight
Chocolate Coconut Eclair
Caramel swirl
Milk Choc Block
Orange Chocolate Crunch
Chocolate Toffee Deluxe
A tin of these sweets will cost you around a fiver but the tins tend to only really be seen around Christmas or mother or father's day but you can buy boxes of these all year round for between £299 and £3.49 but the boxes are exactly the same as the tins only a few good ones surrounded by plenty toffee penny`s!
Summary: Some nice sweets and worth buying for them alone but too many toffees!
