Quorn Burgers

Description: Meat

Newest Review: ... They are always attracting comments from people saying they look like cardboard! You have to forget about the appearance and ... more

... just taste them though! The consistency is relatively tough and chewy, but not in the sort of way which gives you jaw ache! They have a nice rich flavour, but not too thick and deep like real meat burgers. They also do not leak blood or give off tons of grease and oil! Another plus point to quorn burgers are that they are much lower in calories than meat burgers, yet fill you up just as easily. Quorn burgers are my favorite Quorn product and I would definitely recommend them....more

Premium Review Quorn Burgers: Veggie Burger Supreme (396 words)

With my husband being veggie I have, over the years, tried most of the available meat substitute products. Of all the 'burger' varieties our personal favourite is the Quorn quarter pounder burger which you can buy either fresh or frozen for around £1.89 for two. Some people, I am aware from reading many reviews on here, have a real issue with vegetarians eating anything which is or claims to be a meat substitute. They tend to think it is somewhat wrong or hypocritical to not eat meat but to want something which feels like or tries to recreate the flavour of meat. I can see what they are saying but to my mind when you have grown up eating meat and meat ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Well, Burger Me... (608 words)

When you think of veggie foods, you don’t think they taste like real meat. Well, why should they? They aren’t meat, so how can they taste like meat? Well, I don’t know how it’s done, but Quorn have managed to make burgers that taste exactly like real one’s. I prefer Linda McCartney burgers to these, you see. Linda McCartney burgers don’t taste like real burgers, but are divine. I never was a big fan of burgers when I was non-veggie. I eat them, but never really loved them. But, when I did turn veggie, Linda McCartney burgers were great. There was a hint of burger taste in it, but was much nicer. But then, when I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Quorn Burgers: Quorn burgers, yummy low fat burger (247 words)

Yet again I am waiting for tea to cook so whilst I'm waiting i will review my main ingredient which is Quorn burgers. I am veggie but my partner isn't so I usually cook meat burgers for him and I have these. I wouldn't say that if you gave these to a non-veggie that they aren't going to notice they aren't eating meat but they do have a chicken style taste and texture to them. They also are lower in fat than chicken and have more protein which has to be a good thing! The cooking instructions say to grill, shallow fry or microwave but I usually just chuck them on a baking tray with the oven chips and they are fine. I serve them in a burger bun with ...  Read the complete review

I'm not a vegetarian but at times I like to reduce the amount of meat I consume in order to to ensure my diet is as healthy and balanced as possible. In recent years I've taken to eating a lot of quorn products insted of meat as they're all low in fat and also are recommended by Slimming World who I'm a member of. I love burgers and was thrilled some time ago to hear that Quorn made their own version, I thought they would make a good alternative to beef and lamb burgers and also be better for my waistline. Packaging - Quorn burgers are sold in boxes of 4, they can usually be found in the frozen foods section at the supermarket. The box is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Quorn Burgers: Tasty, low calorie. (314 words)

I have been a vegetarian for many years now, since I gave up meat in my early teenage years. In that time I have really shopped around, trying to find all the best products from Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda, trying own brands, Quorn and Linda McCartney. One of the best food products I have come across in that time are the basic quorn burgers, and since they are a staple item in my freezer. Quorn do a few different types of burgers, but these are the most basic simple ones that they sell all year round. The burgers come in packs of four. I usually buy a couple at a time as they have a sell by date if you keep them in the freezer. The burgers come lose in a ...  Read the complete review
