Advantages: Taste and texture very like meat

Disadvantages: Taste and texture very like meat. Also cost.

Sometimes it's hard to be a veggie. Especially when eating at other people's houses and they trot out the veggieburgers that have been lurking at the back of the freezer compartment for God-knows-how-long as the only "vegetarian alternative".

This is not a problem with these burgers as even the carnivores will be munching them if they get a taste. Even kids who turn their nose up at anything that isn't meat will eat these oblivious to the fact that they're eating vegetarian food. If you miss the taste and texture of meat then put these in a burger with lettuce, tomato and all the trimmings you simply won't know it's not chicken you're chowing down on.

The Southern style have to be the best with a crunchy texture and slightly spicy taste. As a meat replacement these are the business, if you're after a different taste sensation or something a little more "haute cuisine" then look elsewhere.
