I want to rave about something. Little did I know that Quorn could taste this good. I have been against these types of food, and my bias was based on past experience of chewing those products which purport to be good for you, whilst tasting like rubber. Quorn has advanced and in an effort to help supply the protein that my vegetarian husband lacked within his diet, we have been tasting all the different kinds of Quorn available on the market. With this product, what you see is what you get, and it really did shock me. The product comes either in boxes or sachets costing around the £2.00 mark for 350 grams. It doesn't sound like good value when you look at the ... Read the complete review

When I was about fifteen, I did what a lot of teenagers do and became vegetarian. It didn't last long - I liked bacon sandwiches too much - but while I was a veggie my mum used to give me Quorn pieces. When I was in the supermarket a few weeks ago there was a special offer on Quorn pieces (now re-labelled Chicken Style Pieces, as they also have Beef Mince Style Quorn as well) and I thought I'd give them another go. If you've not tried Quorn before, it is a low fat, high protein vegetarian alternative to meat made from mycoprotein - a member of the fungi family. Quorn doesn't taste of mushrooms though, in fact it doesn't really taste of anything, but it can ... Read the complete review

I used to be a really fussy eater and had a really limited repetoire of what I would actually eat so when I first heard about Quorn I though that it sounded revolting and there was no way that I would like it. Quorn is a mycoprotein which basically means that it is a source of protein made from mushrooms but it does not taste like mushrooms. It is a vegetarian alternative to meat but the fact that it contains egg means it is unsuitable for vegans. It is low fat and low calorie so also suitable for those who want to watch their figure. The Quorn pieces are small in size, textured and flavoured so that they have a light & delicious meaty ... Read the complete review

My mom is a vegetarian, and while im not one i dont really eat much meat. I am a keen chef and my mom once bought some quorn for me to experiment with so she could taste my food. Quorn is actually made with out of a member of the fungi family, called Mycoprotein. Mycoprotein is very low in fat content, therefore is also good for a meat eater on a diet! With only 103calories per 100g its really motivating to eat! Not only that but it also has a high fibre content, which is important for those with diabetes or high colesteral! Quorn Chicken Style pieces also taste really good and are so versatile. You can do almost any dish with them, some good ones ... Read the complete review

I have been a vegetarian for over 15 years now, and in that time I have tried almost every product Tescos, Asda and Sainsbury's sell and almost everyone that Quorn and Linda McCartney make. As a result of my very thorough investigations (!) these Quorn chicken pieces have been a staple part of my freezer and diet for years now. Quorn chicken style pieces come in a plastic bag. I keep them in my freezer and open the bag, get a few out to use and then shove the bag back in the freezer, The bag is not resealable as such but I tie it back up to stop too much frost getting on them, although it would probably not affect them as they are pretty ...
