Quorn is seen by most as 'vegetarian food', which yes it is, but you certainly would not need to be a vegetarian to eat it. I first discovered Quorn some years ago when I started on a healthy eating plan and Quorn was recommended because of the low fat content. I regularly incorporate quorn pieces, mince and various fillets into my somewhat varied diet, but am not at the moment following any kind of eating plan. Ah yes, the good old See Food Diet! I recently read a review on this product, Quorn Mature Cheddar and Broccoli Escalopes and fancied trying them. When doing my on-line shop yesterday I noticed that these were on offer at £1.49 for a pack of two ... Read the complete review

I'm not a vegetarian but lately I've been trying various Quorn products! Quorn is a brand of non meat foods such as mince and chicken. One of the products I've recently tried is the Quorn style cheese and broccoli escalope's. Quorn products are available in all supermarkets such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's. depending on what product it is you are buying, they can be found in the freezers, or in the refrigerators. They are easy to spot though and stand out nicely on the shelf. Quorn do various products which come in breadcrumbs and such like and these are one of those types. They are found in the freezers. They come sold in a 240g ... Read the complete review

According to wikipedia Quorn is the leading brand of mycoprotein food product in UK. A mycoprotein is any protein-rich foodstuff made from processed edible fungus. It's made from the soil mould Fusarium venenatum strain PTA-2684. Not mouth-watering stuff I know, but bear with me! Quorn is produced as both a cooking ingredient and a range of ready meals. It is sold (largely in Europe but also in other parts of the world) as a healthy food and an alternative to meat, especially for vegetarians. As it uses egg white as a binder, it is not a vegan food. Quorn came under criticism for using battery produced eggs but phased them out by 2004. I ... Read the complete review

Having a veggie treat can often mean a laborious day in the kitchen trying to come up with some exciting but still without meat. When Quorn started producing these various different escalopes with fillings of all kinds I was quite excited because it definitely makes a welcome change from the plainer quorn varieties. The taste of this cheddar and broccoli escalope is really quite good. There is no bland flavour, but rather a strong cheese taste and a nice amount of broccoli as the proportions are just right. The broccoli also has its own flavour rather than just being drowned out by the cheese. One problem I have had while cooking is that the ... Read the complete review

I have been a fan of quorn for many years, and ive always loved chicken escalopes, so when i saw quorn had there own version, i ran out and bought them. You get 2 escalopes for about £2.50, and thery are fairly large, so good portions. You need to put them on a low heat, if you put them to high, the cheese will ooze out everywhere. The taste is delicious, the coating is great, and the cheddar and broccoli sauce is gorgeous. The quorn really does taste like chicken, and if i was blindfolded i wouldnt know this wasnt chicken. This is a great meal, i tend to have it with mash and peas. Its a great healthy meal and one i'd throughly ... Read the complete review
