Advantages: Tastes lovely and filling, comforting and warming, low fat, great for dieters
Disadvantages: None really
I have been eating Ready Brek for years since i was a child and i have always completely loved it. Ready Brek is made by popular cereal manufacturers Weetabix.
I saw it in Tesco a few days ago and thought that i would buy it to see if it tasted as good as i remember it to be.
Ready Brek is an oat cereal fortified with vitamins, iron and calcium. It is 100% wholegrain oats and although i love porridge, it tastes even nicer than this.
When i had a bowl of this again yesterday i noticed how warming and filling it was.
It was the perfect breakfast for me as yesterday morning was freezing and the house took a while to warm up before i put the heating on.
I would describe Ready Brek as a warm hug, its a really nice satisfying and comforting food. I like too the way it keeps me feeling filled up until lunchtime.
Ready Brek has no added salt or sugar and is one of the heathiest cereals that you can eat. You can microwave it for convenience but i prefer making it in a pot as i think it tastes nicer made this way.
It is suitable for vegetarians and all you have to do is add hot milk and its gorgeous.
I always add a little bit of sweetener to my bowl to as i think it can taste a bit plain without it.
I bought a 750 gram box and it cost me around £2 from Tesco. I think this is an ok price as it will make a lot of nice breakfasts.
Well recommended for dieters too as it is low in fat. Cant wait to have another bowl, yum!
Summary: Have a bowl
