... something that nut haters avoided I'm not sure. Mars tried not so long since to ditch the coffee flavoured ones in exchange for raspberry which I thought tasted of just sugar so I was glad when coffee returned. It is always a tricky one, what with so many flavours it is hard to please everyone, but if you buy revels you will be the type who regulary eats them. I really like Revels and like the variety of each bag, these are well balanced each bag I eat which is good. Revels come in small bags or large cinema siz...more

Premium Review Mars Revels: A chocolate REVELation!!! (1337 words)

If you have read some of my other reviews, you may find that I do like my chocolate - well doesn't everyone!! I would eat any chocolate offered to me, but my all time favourite has to be Revels. If you go in search of them you will find an orange, yellow and brown package, the bag I have at the moment is the 175g share bag, which will be shared with.......Me! The bag is 6.5in (17cm) high x 5.5in (14cm) wide. The autumny colours of orange, brown, burnt orange, yellow, then brown and orange again run vertically down the pack. Across these stripes is the word revels in lower case bold white writing, with brown shadowing and orange outline. (Very ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review a little bag of magic (281 words)

Im a self confessed chocoholic and revels are definatley one of my favorites, revels are available in small bags ranging in price from 30p to 40p depending on where you buy them from or in large bags rangig in price from £1 to £1.50p depeniging once again on where you buy them from. There are a mixture of different sweets in this bag, Little circular pieces of toffee covered in milk chocolate the toffee is quite hard when you first put it in your mouth but soon softens in the warmth of your mouth. This is my least favorite of all the chocolates in this bag. There are chocolate covered rasins which are quite nice tasting with quite a thick ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mars Revels: Revels- the game and chocolate... (382 words)

Where do I start with these... Revels are made by Mars and they come in a 35g bag or a larger sharing bag. They are milk chocolates with different fillings. These are chocolate buttons, caramel, coffee, orange, peanut and maltesers. You can buy these from supermarkets, off licences and news paper shops. The smaller packs are around 40p and the larger packs are around £1.50-£2.00. This not bad considering the amount you actually get in the bag. First of all, the chocolate buttons are as you would expect, they are really creamy and taste delicious. The caramel sort tend to be a little hard in my opinion, but this may vary with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A mixed bag (617 words)

Revels seem to have been around for ever, and indeed looking it up I find that Mars began production of them more than forty years ago, in 1967. They consist of small chocolate sweets filled with a small variety of centres - raisin, Maltesers, coffee, orange and toffee - as well as one which is solid chocolate. At one time coconut was used instead of coffee, and peanut instead of raisin: I'd rather the older centres had been kept, frankly. There was also a gimmicky Big Brother-style "eviction" competition last year, which saw coffee replaced with strawberry, though sadly only for a limited time. The bag design has been tinkered with over the years, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mars Revels: Russian Roulette of Chocolate thats best not to be played (641 words)

Although far from a fan of Mars chocolate, I'm happy to try some early in the morning to help me wake up, a pre-breakfast snack if you would, for the sugar, the caffeine and the heck of it to be totally honest. So when I found a 35g packet of Revels lying around in my bedroom I just couldn't help myself but to have these for a snack early in the morning. Coming in a mainly orange packet with different shades of orange vertical strips down the packet the sweets don't look anything exceptional, in fact if it wasn't for the images of chocolate balls on the front it would be rather easy to admit having no idea of what these are. The front of the packet offers ...  Read the complete review
