Advantages: Several flavours in one bag!

Disadvantages: Most people dislike one or more of the flavours!

Revels are a chocolate product made by confectionary giant, Mars. They are described as 'milk chocolates with assorted centres'. The assortment comprises: orange cream filled chocolates, coffee cream filled chocolates, Maltesers, solid chocolate buttons, chocolate covered raisins, & chocolate covered toffees. Each chocolate comes in a slightly different size & shape, so it's not always easy to know which is which when taking them out of the bag!

With Revels, it's a case of 'each to their own'. They're like Marmite - you either love them or hate them. Most hated is probably the coffee flavour, but to anyone who likes coffee-flavoured things, (such as my mad wife!) they are delicious! My personal favourite are the chocolate buttons. I'm not too sure why, but they taste so much better than other chocolate buttony-things. They are thick & pleasing to bite into, & the chocolate is very creamy. The toffees are quite chewy, so they last a bit longer than the others, & the orange creams are nice & zingy. The coffee ones - well, they get passed over to the wife, whilst she passes over the raisins in return!

Revels are great to share - each person has their faves & what you don't eat, someone else will! Speaking of sharing, revels come in large bags which are perfect for such an occasion. These 140g bags are currently on offer at Asda for 2 for £3 (versus their usual price of around £1.75 a bag). They can also be purchased in individual serving bags of 35g for around 50p (which is a much more sensible option when eating them on your own!).

As with any confectionary, they aren't the healthiest. 100g will provide 480 cals & 21.1g of fat.
