Advantages: They are ok, on offer, thick and creamy

Disadvantages: expensive, not great taste, not as good as muller, nutrition

In order to beat the bloat I've been trying various different products which I thought might have helped me. One brand I've been sampling in the past few months is Activia! One of the products I've been "lucky" enough to sample is the rhubarb bio yoghurts.

These can be found in all supermarkets, including Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco. We tend to buy ours from Tesco now though but this is simply because it is closest to us! They can be found in the yoghurt aisle alongside the yoghurts such as Muller Light and Shape. They are on the middle shelf in my local Tesco so I assume they will be in the same place in every one but its worth having a little look about.

They come in packets of 4, and each yoghurt weighs 125g. This isn't a huge amount of yoghurt but it is pretty average for the dairy treat! The 4 pack costs £1.56 normally however at the moment there is an offer on and you can get twp packets for only £3. This is only a saving of 12p but if you are watching the pennies then it is worth taking advantage of.

The 4 yoghurts come held together in a cardboard outer packaging. The packaging is a green colour which reminds me of luscious fresh green grass. This adds to the natural feeling of the product. On the cardboard packaging there is lots of product information as well as some interesting looking pictures of stalks of rhubarb. Personally to me these weren't too appealing as they didn't look to juicy, sweet or tempting! The packaging does have a very natural feel to it and probably would appeal to those on a diet. The light green of the wrapper provides a light and airy feel to it too and overall the packaging is very tempting!

The pots are made of plastic and follow the same pattern as the outer cardboard packet. The lid is made of a special foil which seems different to other yoghurts. It peels back really easily and doesn't spray you with too much yoghurt, in fact none at all. Each pot has its own picture of the rhubarb stalks on them! This is again is really not that appealing or tempting.

The lids can be removed easily and the yoghurt is not up to the brim therefore none is left behind on the lid, unless they have been shaken that is. First of all you see the delicious looking yoghurt. It is a dark pink colour, with some lighter pieces through it! The yoghurt looks quite bitty though with bits of rhubarb in it, obviously. It also looks quite thick and doesn't have that annoying watery layer on top of it that yoghurts often have. There was a delicious creamy smell coming from the yoghurt too but a distinct fruit aroma too!

The creamy yoghurt tastes very much like rhubarb however in my opinion there was a raspberry taste to it too! A definite tang combating the strong sweetness. It is a very creamy however there is a strong sweetness to it too. The yoghurt is completely is very lumpy though and the of rhubarb were quite annoying! Personally though I think I prefer muller rhubarb yoghurts!

Overall I did enjoy them but they weren't the best and not my favourite fruity yoghurts. I think I will be sticking to Muller in terms of taste. They didn't help my bloating at all either.

One pot of this yoghurt contains 122 calories and 344of fat. This is really quite a lot for a yogurt of this size and I'd definitely rather go for the tastier Muller version which is under 100 calories for a whopping 200g!
