The weather was lovely at the weekend and let's face it - we haven't had much chance to say that lately! My sister was staying with us and we all decided to go for a walk on Sunday morning. We live about halfway up the Great Orme in Llandudno and we set out for a short walk but ended up walking all the way up to the top of the Orme! This was a fairly steep walk and we were very hot and bothered by the time we got to the top so we headed for the ice cream kiosk. I wanted an orange ice lolly as I thought that would be the most thirst quenching option. The young man in the kiosk said that he didn't have conventional orange lollies but he did have ... I love these Ribena ice lollies and eat more than I should, especially since they started selling them in Cooltrader for 89p for a box of 4! The main reason I like them so much is because they taste of pure Ribena and even if you've sucked a lot of the colour out of them they still have a fruity taste. I brought some cheaper lollies that come in this sort of push up tube and they went white and like plain ice once I'd sucked a load of the juice out and then they're just boring! lol These Ribena lollies are very refreshing and we always had loads of them in the fridge during the 2 days of summer we saw in Birmingham this year. The packaging makes ... Read the complete review

Ribena Ice Lollies are the perfect summer treat to cool you down when the sun actually decides to show its face in Britian. They come in the push up variety, but I am also quite sure I have seen packets of these where the lolly is on a stick as well. The push up lollies come in a packet of four and cost around £1.50 depending on offers and where you get them you may get them cheaper or just a bit more expensive than this. I think that these lollies taste great, being a fan of the Ribena diluting juice these lollies really hit the spot. They taste like blackcurrant and taste really similar but maybe a bit sweeter than the Ribena juice. Luckily they ... Read the complete review

When summer comes calling there is nothing I like more than to relax in the garden with a cold drink or an ice lolly. The only problem with ice lollies is that most of them appear to be very weak in flavour these days (probably because they are all removing things from them to make them healthier). One exception to this flavourless rule is the Ribena ice lolly which is always jam packed full of delicious blackcurrant flavouring and is therefore one of my very favourite ice lollies, although whether or not it can actually be called an ice lolly or not is open to debate because I always think of an ice lolly having a stick whereas the Ribena lolly is cylindrical ... A cardboard tube with a plasticy inner coating and a foil lid, purple in colour and containing a Ribena ice lolly is a must for the hot summer weather. Most ice lollies these days are a bit weak in flavour but these are not at all like that. The flavour is nice and strong and the lolly is very refreshing too. The best thing about them is unlike stick lollies these do not drip al over you shorts and t shirt when they begin to melt instead the form a puddle in the bottom of the tube which you can look forward to drinking when the lolly has gone. Not at all expensive these lollies either, I personally buy them from my local freezer shop for £1.09 for ... Read the complete review
